Four generations of single-variety Asti wines.

The Story

Run by Fabrizia Caldera and Roberto Rossi, Caldera carries on a four-generation family tradition focused on quality and a deep bond with the territory.

The vineyards, located in Portacomaro, Agliano, Vigliano and Costigliole d'Asti, benefit from old vines, low yields and cluster thinning — ensuring excellent grapes.

All wines are single-variety to highlight each grape's character, supported by modern techniques such as cold stabilization and sterile bottling. The agronomic work is supervised by expert winemaker Mario Redoglia.

Soil: Silty with high percentage of limestone
Yield: 65 ql/ha
Vinification: Traditional, prolonged maceration at 30°C with pump-over and fulling
Ageing: 22–24 months in 225L Allier barrels; malolactic in wood

Grignolino d'Asti

D.O.C.

Grignolino 100%

Area: Province of Asti
Yield: 70 ql/ha
Vinification: Traditional maceration at 26°C
Ageing: Steel tanks and barrels

Piemonte Viognier "Viò"

D.O.C.

Viognier 100%

Area: Province of Asti
Soil: Silty-sandy
Yield: 110 ql/ha
Vinification: White vinification at 16°C
Ageing: Steel with bâtonnage
